David Oberst is a New York City-based composer, music director, and pianist. He is a graduate of Duke University, where he studied Music and Electrical/Computer Engineering, a combination of subjects that he finds surprisingly complementary. David composed the original score for Freefall Frostbite, which premiered Off-Broadway at Theater 80 St. Marks in October 2017, and later was featured in a concert at 54 Below in 2019. He also has accompanied and music directed singers at venues such as The Bitter End, West End Lounge, Don't Tell Mama, and The Duplex. Favorite regional credits include Company (Orchestral Director), Lippa's Wild Party (Music Director), and Chess (Music Director).
